Scrolvo guide

How to share a screenshot as a link that expires

Capture the page with Scrolvo and click Get share link in the side panel, or choose Share as a link in the editor. Sign in with a free account, pick how long the link works and press Create link. Anyone with the link can view and download the image, and leave a comment, until then. After that the link stops working and the image is deleted. Free links last 1 or 7 days; Scrolvo Pro ($10/month or $100/year) keeps them for 30 days or until you delete them.

A link keeps tall screenshots out of email and chat attachments, and one that expires doesn't leave a copy of your screenshot online for good.

Step by step

Share a screenshot as a link that expires

  1. Open the side panel

Add Scrolvo from the Chrome Web Store, then click its icon in the toolbar to open the side panel.

  2. Capture the page

Choose Full page, Scrolling area or Visible area and capture.

  3. Click Get share link

When the side panel shows Your capture is ready, click Get share link. To blur or mark it up first, click Edit instead and share it from the editor.

  4. Pick how long it works

Sign in if you haven't, choose 1 day or 7 days (30 days with Pro), then press Create link. Scrolvo uploads the capture and gives you a scrolvo.appzlr.com/s/ link.

  5. Copy and send it

Click Copy and paste the link into a chat, email or ticket. Slack, Discord and other apps that show link previews show the image.

  • From the editor: click the arrow next to Save PNG, choose Share as a link, pick how long it works and press Create link. The link shows the image with your edits.
  • Press Delete link to stop it working sooner. The image is deleted from Scrolvo's servers straight away.
  • Anyone who has the link can open it, so blur private details first.
FAQ

Questions and answers

Are share links free?

Yes, with a free account: up to 10 links at a time, each working for 1 or 7 days. Scrolvo Pro, $10/month or $100/year, keeps up to 200 links for 30 days or until you delete them, and adds a password, a button and a download switch.

What happens when the link expires?

The link stops working and shows a page saying it has expired, and the image is deleted from Scrolvo's servers. You can delete it sooner with Delete link.

Who can see a shared screenshot?

Anyone who has the link. The link isn't listed anywhere and search engines don't index it. Scrolvo stores the image, your account id, its size and when it expires, not the page's address or title.

Can I change the image after I share it?

The link keeps the version you shared. If you edit the image in the editor afterwards, the share dialog offers New link with your changes.
